Yesterday afternoon, Mark, N8MH and myself ran a little experiment on AO-51. We linked the SQRX receiver, listening on 145.825, to the 435.150 transmitter for several minutes over the eastern US. I wanted to see how congested the 145.825 uplink was with unattended packet beacons. We heard about a dozen packets, about two per minute. Most of them were not very strong.
The implication here is that HO-68 may be impacted by these unattended beacons while in FM/Packet mode, but not very much. Most users would have much stronger signals, and the interference is typically very short in duration.
