A practical alternative is to build the QFH from the recent QST article. I have just finished one of these, and it seems to work reasonably. As luck would have it, I just posted notes on the process on my blog at http://ve9qrp.blogspot.com This is the RHCP version provided in the article. I found the downlink from VO-52 to be rather more weak than, say a vertical or dipole. I attribute this to the difference in circular polarity. I, too, am interested in switched circularly polarized omnidirectional antennas. I think I might make a AA2TX lindenblad for the corresponding LHCP unit. Does anyone have recommendations for RF switches suited for 2m work and N-connectors? > > If you like building antennas, you might look at the Lindenblad which > performs similarly.
