hi, I use a simple 30 dollar radio shack vertical scanner antenna on short 15 feet of 9913 cable and an arr preamp for uhf recieve and a regular low gain vhf vertical for transmit. These work quite well on the fm satellites where I start getting workable receive when the satellite is 10 to 20 degrees above the horizon and higher. Both antennas are connected to a duplexer and then to my ft8800r dual band fm rig. pat, n2oeq

I am starting to build the dual-crossed MOXON setup as I am running into some snags getting my planned bigger antenna setup installed as well as I was hoping to use the smaller antenna setup for a Field Day setup but don't want to wait till that day to use them and look like a fool!!!! Would even consider the quadrifilliar antennas if I could find the plans for both bands? Jacob Tennant - K8JWT _______________________________________________ Sent via [email protected].
