Many things can be the cause
1-Check up your receiving setup ! listen to beacon before you transmit .
2- some time the sat not changed to FM mode (happened few time ) instead of
the schedule stats so.
3- check the beacon to see which mode is on.
4-AFC in downlink shift the frequency so fast ,so deactivate it until you hook
with
strong down link signal.
5-Never Try to work FM satellite in IC-910 sat-mode .
IMHO IC-910 sat mode is perfect only for Xponder satellite.
6- check volume level! and check if the tone on the VHF and not on UHF.(common
mistake to mix uplink tone with downlink tone)
7-Check Main and Sub External speaker setting combination
