There will be an AMSAT table at the Hudsonville, MI, hamfest on June 5th from 8am to 2pm. Doug KD8CAO and John K8YSE will be on hand to discuss satellites; AMSAT gear will be available for purchase. If you live in West Michigan, please stop by and say hello.
There will be a satellite demo during the hamfest starting with an AO-51 pass at 1203 UTC. We will try to work AO-7 at 1345z, SO-50 at 1555z, VO-52 at 1611z and HO-68 at 1713z. We will be using a mobile setup with a TS2000, an Arrow UHF 7x7, 5 el Mosley on 2m, G5400b rotor with SatPC32 controlling the rotor and radio. Hopefully we will have a good view of the sky. We may be on some Friday evening passes during the setup and pot-luck event. Check our position on www.aprs.fi and search for K8YSE-8. We would appreciate contacts during the demo, especially from other hamfests. K8YSE/M will be operating on Friday June 4th en route to EN62 from EN91. Hopefully there will be places to stop during passes on the way. I will try to operate on the way back on Monday, June 7th as well.
