So, why oh why did nobody mention Ham radio?  UHF and VHF bands were mentioned, 
nice pictures of Ham antennas from hand-helds to long beams, but never amateur 
radio.  They talk about the value in the use of common off-the-shelf components 
and cell phones, but no mention of the incredible resource that the 
satellite-active Ham community is, nor the value of the radio bands that they 
will be using.  Even the mention of an HT in one of the picture it seemed like 
the presenter was going out of his way to not call it that.

Why is Amateur Radio a poison term?
