According to Anthony AA2TX's presentation/research ... -The battery must be initially charged to power up ARISSat-1 -The battery must have a charge for the initial 15 minutes of activation -ARISSat-1 will power down during eclipse if battery fails -ARISSat-1 can operate without battery in sunlight
