There is something very intrinsically powerfull about this process/event. I hear it time and time again. For me it was RS12. Why does hearing your call/name or your own voice come back from a little box several hundred high, traveling at about 17,000 miles per hour have such a moving impact in our minds and lives? As I mentioned in a earlier post, "the novelty never really gets old". I just recently got my mobile rig up and running and it was RS12 all over again! I accept the fact we or most of us are part of a unique group of individuals that derive profound pleasure in this activity. I have tried to explain this to "normal" people and they just look at me funny. At times I center my day around a computer print out. My xyl has jokingly said ,"you need a intervention". There is no doubt in my mind this post will strike a nerve to many readers.

Congrats, Steve! It's a feeling you will never forget. (Mine was 18 years ago - RS-10 - and I can still remember like it was yesterday.)
