Jim,

I always ask that question. Depending on who you talk with, you get
slightly different versions of the same answer. The FT-847 went out of
production due parts availability. Like many here, they equate satellite
with P3 HEO, and feel that until that happens, there is no justification for
the additional engineering work to bring out an updated version. I have
been told there is a notional design for one. Others have gotten different
versions. Will ask again.

I keep wondering if/when Yaesu will bring out a replacement for the FT-847.

If anybody is going to Dayton this year, PLEASE ask them.

Unless they keep getting questions about it, they won't know there's a
market for it.

Unless the IC-9100 comes down in price about $2,000, I don't care if
it will
work with SATPC32. I am not getting rid of my IC-910's unless
someone drops
        an IC-9100 in my lap.

        Frank,

I just cruised by the SATPC32 web site and find that there is a
patch for
the IC-9100 on the download page. According to the explanation, this
version will not work with the IC-910, though a full version is on
the way.

Well the IC9100 has hit the market, when is SATPC32 going to be
updated to
accommodate this new offering from ICOM?
