Juan, The instructions for the polarity switch were written for the shorter version of the antenna. There are some differences in the installation for the 42 element version. Attached to the direct mail is copy of a more recent version than you have. It helps with some, but not all, of the issues. The drawing has the new dimensions for the rear shorting bar. There is a note for the front shorting bar saying "Shorting bars remain here at 4.375 inches."
