Maker Faire Detroit will be held at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan 
(EN82) on July 28 - 29, 2012. Amateur Radio will play a major part in this 
year's event, as it has for the past three years. Using the special event 
callsign, N8M, the Ford Amateur Radio League and a conglomeration of other 
local Detroit area clubs will host a large setup displaying various amateur 
radio modes and equipment, including: 

- HF SSB and digital station


- HF CW station, including various homebrew QRP equipment


- Satellite stations 
    - stationary - Yaesu FT-726 and homebrew yagis on a 12-foot mast
    - hand-held portable - two HTs and an Arrow antenna



- Fast-Scan ATV and video

- VHF voice/cw/digital


- HSMM-Mesh

- ARRL and misc information table


- RACES/SKYWARN

The satellite stations will be on as many passes of AO-27, SO-50, FO-29 and 
VO-52 as possible within the hours of operation, 1330 - 2200 UTC both days.
