I periodically encounter the same issue as described by Jeff KB2M.
The only exception is that I run Windows 7.  I never have the problem
on my Windows XP laptop.   I can't seem to pinpoint why I get that
error.  It seems very random on my system.

My solution, in line with Alan WA4SCA's recommendation, is to run the
SatPC32 DATABACKUP program.  When the problem occurs, I simply restore
the previous working configuration.
