The OPUSAT CubeSat, slated for launch in the Japanese Financial Year 2013, is 
planning to use a Lithium-Ion Capacitor. I think this will be the first time 
such a device has been flown in space. If successful the greater power density 
offered could be useful for future CubeSat missions.
