The grid must be in the USA , but the contact may be in the Mexico side of the 
grid  it is ok 

DL80 will not count

Can you clarify something for me?  It says "in the U.S.A." which to
mean means the contact with a person in DL-land must be someone in one
of the grids DL79,DL89,DL88,DL98,DL99 that are in Texas, USA.

A contact with someone in DL80 (Mexico) shouldn't count, right?

I think keeping it so that the grids have to be in the USA makes it a
little more challenging.  I like the idea of using SSB as a
requirement, too.
