Hi John, It's fairly safe to assume that if an AO-40 replacement were going up in the next couple of years it would be all over the BB. No news can reasonably be interpreted as nothing happening yet. The AMSAT-DL P3E satellite is I believe in an advanced state of construction but I think unlikely to be completed unless $10 million turns up to fund a launch. It's basically a money issue, there's even a Low Earth Orbiter microsatellite KiwiSat completed but on the ground awaiting launch funding.
