Keith I have a 2000 and originally intended to set up the TNC. Before I did, however, another 2000 owner turned me on to the Signalink USB soundcard interface. For about $100 you get a device that simply plugs into the ACC rear jack on the 2000, and to a USB port on your computer, and will do every digital mode. If so what terminal programs are available to use with it ? Back in the day there were a half dozen or so good terminal programs with buffers, canned messages and other features. But a Google search brings up nothing today. I'm looking for something a lot more then Windows Hyper Terminal gives me. So, what are you using ??
