well, the name is "kind of important", but it's still a release issue...
and if we ge something out now, it depends on the poll's results...
btw... your vote was :

what did it mean ? (maybe answer in french if you want)
I need we have to rush on some troubles always existing like those I
mentioned
below, we have to analyze the bug reports on the site because it is
interesting. In fact last week end I fixed a little bug but there was
many
bug reports about it !! It shows we don't use enough this powerful tool.
I
think there is always a bug on the webcam assistant with the channels
but I
am not sure since I saw a bug about it...
ahh, ok, I understand what you mean, yeah, it might be useful, but I'm not
sure if we CAN.. even if we NEED... anyways, we'll see.. my main point is
to release it AS IS, because we don't have time for anything else,
development has stalled and I don't want amsn to be a dead project...

!!
yes, the problem is ALMOST ready.. also, it hasn't been tested enough
yet.. and we need to leave some things for 0.96, right ? ;)
also, we're doing this in order to get 0.95 out as soon as possible.. if
we wait for the assistant, we'll never get 0.95 out, if we wait for
MSNP11, it's even worse... now 0.95b is stable, I don't want to add
MSNP11
and make it unstable.. it's a choice to be made and I think we should go
with safety for the moment...

I think it's pretty easy to create the debian dir...

I don't know about knoppix... you can try elive :D it's nice and very
complete (with amsn cvs too ;))
I will see : I only need the debian package construction kit.
But what do you mean by dir ?? I don't want to create the repository but
only
the package to do "make deb"
hehe, don't worry, I did mean the debian directory, but I'm not talking
about the repository... for debian packages to be created, you need a
debian directory, you'll often see this..
the debian directory (lowercase) has a special structure, a few specific
files with specific filenames, and all you need to do is for example
dpkg --build amsn-0.95
and you get an amsn-0.95.deb file, because it will go find a debian
directory and it will understand how to make/compile/build/package
everything just by looking at the debian directory..
You can't create a .deb without that directory, so you can't say dpkg
--build amsn-0.95 --spec=amsn.spec.debian --changelog=CHANGELOG ....
but you can have symlinks in the debian dir that point to the
amsn.spec.debian and CHANGELOG file (I don't remember which files are
needed, I think there is a rules file and a changelog... wait, let me see :
changelog changelog.in control copyright amsn.install rules*
The changelog will be created by the make, the changelog.in is used by the
make to create it, the control is basically the output of the apt-cache
show (packag description, dependencies, etc...), the copyright is a
copyright file.. the amsn.install should contain the path to all the
files that need to be copied and their path
and the rules is simply a makefile that follows certain rules for dpkg to
know how to build everything...

haha, you look like a seller "if you call before midnight, you get a
second rag for free!! hurry up!! " :P
you can ask your question on the forumns, maybe a user can help, or you
can try on a forum of a different group, or the X mailing list... but
here, I don't think any of us has knowledge of X development...
Goood luck...
btw... what's the bug with traydock and how important it is ?
It's a graphical issue : the back of the icon isn't drawn well....
