k, sorry about the confusion, I just though everyone would understand...
look at SF archives for a thread about 'gtk/tk/qt' ...
I don't have time to explain now, maybe tonight.. but search for the
thread, you'll find all the info you need...
In short, XML2GUI would be a way to write the gui in an XML file, and have
a generator that would create the whole GUI based on that XML file, so if
we want to go to GTK for example, we would just rewrite the gtk generator
and using the same XML file, we would be able to create the exact same GUI
but with a different toolkit... and that generator could be written in C
or Tcl or java or whatever, we don't care, as long as XML2GUI reads the
xml, calls the API from the generator and creates all the GUI for us...
no discussion on this project for now please, it already has been
discussed and it is not yet time for design on this...

Telepathy to GUI is about distributing events. Those go this way:
protocol -> Telepathy -> GUI
'Telepathy to GUI layer'is the second '->'
XML2GUI is just a way to define a GUI in XML. So it's not a layer
between
Telepathy and GUI.

Ok but then it would only make sense to use it if you will use a gui
that can be autocreated from an xml file, right? Why bother otherwise?
