oh my god.. this thread should be in the trashcan for a looonnnnnnnnnng
time..
stop trying to find something.. I don't think it will work no matter
what...
even if there is something we could use, it would probably be a hack very
complex and I don't want to implement such feature..
first, it is completly unethical
second, it will make a lot of n00bs come
thirs, when MS fixes it, we'll be mail-bombed with "how can I"...
it's been almost 2 years now (I think) since the blocking feature was
removed from SF servers and (as you can see) people are still mailing us
to know how to get such a feature... I do not want that to happen again as
it's the most annoying questionI ever had in my whole life...
just forget about this.. I don't want it to be in amsn no matter what (and
there is NO way to do it, TRUST ME!!!)
you know that I've spent already alot of time on a lot of threads similar
to this one with people saying "there is a way", and I say "no, just trust
me", noone wants to trust me.. then they realize I was right ? so for
once, please.. trust me... there is no way, and please stop.. it's really
getting me sick now... :(

Ok, just tested it.
If the contact is blocking you or is really offline does not make any
difference when trying to start a chat. Both cases will result in error
number 217.
The hypothetic doc says this would be error 216 if the contact was
offline but
blocking you. Looks like it is outdated on this point indeed.

I think the old bug was a difference in how the server reported the
state
change when a contact went offline or when the contact blocked you.
But I am not 100% sure. I'll have to check when I have time...
