great...
by the way, the new CL is great... but I'd like to know how customizable
is it.. can we do anything with it just using the settings.xml ?
I'd like it to be as much as possible 'official msn' compatible.. don't
forget amsn's main objective and success is to mimic the official client's
look and feel

I agree about html, it's a pain to implement.
I suggest that all psms be in italic/underlined or whatever.. but not
customizable.. which mean
$nick <$psm>
we'll parse that and write
"$nick <" normal
"$psm" italic
">" normal
we'll have to while() through the nick and [split $nick \$psm], making
everything 'normal' and inserting in the correct index, the $psm values
in italic..
this is my suggestion.
That sounds good :) For the new contactlist, we could have the
fonts/colours for the nick and psm settable by the skin.

No, the html is just for the global nick setting.
(like: '$nick<br><i>$psm</i>')
So it is not a compatibility issue.

Won't it mess up the psm in an official MSN client ?
In MSN 7.5, the psm is in italic and I don't think there is a way to
change that (maybe with msnplus ...)
