Hello all, I'm trying to finish the 0.95.1 release, I will need a few things to be done, and would like volunteers for them, I'll assign tasks to some of you, you are free to decline the assignement and free to assign a task to yourself too.. 1 - need to review ALL threads from the forums and find any bugs (not features) that has to be fixed and wrote it as "[FIXME] short description http://amsn.sf.net/forums/..."; on IRC... all new feats you found should be tagged "[FEAT]" on IRC.. This one is assigned to vivia, as she is more used to the forums and probably knows all the threads already, so it will be fast as she'll only need to view the thread title or read part of the first post to remember the whole discussion.. Vivia, if you accept, please make it priority 1, in order to get our next release out of the doors.. 2 - Review old TODO list and separate bugs to fix from features... I'll do that (Youness) 3 - Review http://amsn.sf.net/bugs.. delete all bugs that were fixed, and create a list (written separately) of all individual bugs we found up until now on the 0.95 version (have a list of the string to search for in the filter to get the list of all related bugs).. I'd like to assign this one to Jerome, as I've seen him from the past, being active on fixing bugs from that list, so you may be the one who it would less bother to work on that... 4 - Karol's work should be 100% dedicated on completing my wishlist for the bugs system... without it, it's a real nightmare to work with the bug system! let's make it a paradise! 5 - Fix all the bugs found up until now and make the 0.95.1 almost ready... I will be working on this one as much as I can, vivia is welcomed to help once she finishes the first tasks (review forums), any other devel willing to help is also welcomed.. we'll base all our work on http://kakaroto.homelinux.net/amsn/logs/TODO-LIST 6 - review CIA's website and view all commits done since the 0.95 release.. update the Changelog depending on the commits log (should have all commits' message there apart obvious "fixed my previous commit" kind of thing.. all commit messages should also be rephrased to fit in the changelog)... 7 - review CIA's commit log (as above) and find out any new features introduced that doesn't fit into the next release (example, new contactlist code, msnp12, msnp13, etc...) and make up a list of those things to remove, search for the commits' diffs and make sure they do not appear on the next release 8 - test 0.95.1 with msnp9 enabled, review all commits to make sure nothing breaks anything (Vivia did a commit lately with the commit message "NOT TESTED ON MSNP9".. this should be tested now! and if I remember correctly from the diff, it probably will break msnp9)... also the "PSM" field from the add custom state window should not appear with msnp9... 9 - Give possibility to users to test MSNP12 with an option added in cmsn_draw_login ... 10 - Make sure the protocol number used is being sent along with bug reports!!!! (Added to the TODO list)

I think that's it... I'll start working on most bugs and small feature requests and try to clear the todo list (alot was already done!).. my reference now is the TODO-LIST file on my server, which is updated every day, based on what is sent over IRC... I'd like answers to this thread, not in a week, in a day or two, max!, my objective is to get amsn 0.95.1 out of the doors in 2 weeks, not more, so let's all join forces and complete this task! (sorry vivia, you'll have to delay your holidays :P) You're welcome to tell me which task you want to complete (Karol, if you could send to the list the details about my wishlist for the website, so people who want to help can know what it is all about...).. those I assigned tasks to (vivia, jerome, karol) are also welcomed to deny this assignement if needed! Karol, if you can give us instructions, I'm willing to try and work on the bug report system! I don't know how to use regexps with php, or how the whole thing works, but I'll probably be able to manage, I only don't want to work 2 hours on something someone else could do in 5 minutes...

p.s.: Jerome, or anyone else, if you have some things you could think of that might be important for the next release (as in something to add in this mail), you're also requested to share your ideas with us.. p.p.s.: if you have a bug or feature to request, add it to the todo list by entering it in the irc channel (subject available at : http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.network.instant-messaging.amsn.devel/2667 .. thread to which noone answered btw... )

Thanks all for reading!
