Hi, Both Arieh and Youness have turned this into a personal issue.
Arieh, you crossed the line. Youness apologized for his comment and he just talked fast and didn't notice. I also replied to his comments. There was no need to keep up on the issue, as he explained exactly what he meant. He was referring to the number of Muslims killed by Israeli Jews in the Israel-Palestinian conflict. Now, if you have an issue with his numbers or statements, you can go do some research about it. http://www.ifamericansknew.org/stats/deaths.html This is not a racist comment, it is simply a statement of a fact of our world. Now I don't care why or who is to blame, it is still a fact. Yes he expressed it in a bad manner, as I explained in my previous post. Arieh, you have no reason to in the world to get personal and imply that Youness has hate for either Christians or Jews. Youness is from Morocco and is in no way affected by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He barely brought up a glimpse of Israel when he mentioned Jews. (see above). You used this statement as an excuse to go on a rampage and explain how he was being racist and has hate towards Jews and Christians. I know him personally, and I am a Christian, and I can assure you your statements are a very far cry away from the truth. Arieh, he said they never attacked a Church, who the hell is talking about synagogues? Why are you bringing up the Palestinian-Israeli issue? Youness is trying to explain that the Muslim religion he knows, and that most Muslims around the world practice is one of peace and tolerance towards other religions. The Palestinian/Arab-Israeli conflict is a WAR that has been going on for years, obviously people destroyed synagogues and vice-versa. This has absolutely nothing to do with this whole cartoon issue that is really about the face and image that the Muslim religion is taking these days. A huge number of Muslims (Youness included) have absolutely nothing to do with Israel. Arieh, Youness did NOT ask for a definition of Zionism. Where the hell did you read that? He said he thinks there is a difference, but doesn't care as once again Israel isn't a concern of his. Youness, you should have just ignored his comments and been more careful about what you said. Jews in general are extremly sensitive about anti-semitism since it has been going on for centuries. Anyways, Arieh, I think you put yourself in a bad situation, and have demonstrated a bit of intolerance. Youness was a bit overzealous about the whole issue yes, but there is no reason to attack him as he never in any way meant to offend anyone, Jews included. And may I repeat has apologized for stating a fact in a "wrong" way as I explained in a previous post. Let's put this behind us by apologizing to each other. Youness AGAIN for his bad comment, and Arieh for getting personal and implying that Youness is racist or hates Jews and Christians.
