Hi Tom,
I didn't have time to test (I even didn't have time to update amsn and try it
out), but I'm sure it's great!
I just want to say that the unposting bugs might be related to the WM.. even if it's your code, not the WM's code, but your code is being called due to events being sent by the WM.. same goes for moving amsn window when a menu is posted, if the grab fails on the WM, then you could move the window.. I think in my WM (e16), a global grab is impossible.. also, doing a grab + override redirect enabled might cause some problems since overrideredirect means the WM knows nothing about your window...
The WM is irrelevant because the menus are wm overrideredirected....so it's just X taking care of stuff, right? So the global grab works. Works fine for everyone it seems. The problem with unposting was a fault in my code, not anything else :)

good luck for fixing the other bugs.. p.s.: is it optimized ? cpu/memory ?
You must be joking.... lol

I updated and most problems are gone, but sometimes if I open a submenu and
click on a background application the menu keep not unposting...

Another tiny problem is that submenus are posting even when I don't stand
the mouse over they by 500ms (they post and unpost instantly, so I only see
a flicker).

I've made a few fixes, the bug with menus not unposting when clicking
elsewhere on screen (and all related bugs) should now be fixed.
