humm.. well, that would be a problem.. isn't there a better way to find that out ? also, the _NET_SUPPORTED function, by the fact that it's uppercase, makes me think it may be a macro, not a real function.. so if it's a macro, then it would probably mean that it depends on the system where you installed, and it might be an X setting, not a WM setting.. we might be looking the wrong way, we might be searching to know if the atom is supported by X, but maybe X supports that atom (ince a specific version (as in, it supports sending that atom to the WM), but the WM itself doesn't support receiving it...

We have to waste a bit more time on this...

Don't worry ;)
First, Sander I didn't understand what you meant :d
Happily Youness understood it and I can reply now :d
The code is already ready to be sent and I will try now...
It uses the _NET_SUPPORTED but even with that, it doesn't change anything...
Because when I said that XFce and KDE weren't good, I checked with a soft
called wininfo which I modified to support the DemandsAttention flag...
Anyway, I commit what I did...

What you are looking for is:
_NET_SUPPORTED(ATOM)

to quickly check for it:
xprop -root | grep _NET_SUPPORTED

Now you only need to code it in c..
