Not specifying a mode or specifying "simple" will treat the message as a
string and show it all in one font. If mode == complex, the message
parameter
is a list so you can specify a font for each element in that list. So
without
adding the mode parameter I could not have multiple fonts on a single
balloon
without breaking other code.
