YES, please don't specify the font!!! not only will the widgetDefault be used, but also it lets the user customize amsn using the appearance->choose font button in the prefs window... and more importantly, if you don't have the -font option, then it means that chameleon will use the theme's font instead of a custom one... the difference is huge between 2 buttons when you have chameleon enabled...
p.s.: try a 'grep -- -font *' and see what it gives you...
