I think it may be a bug in expr, I did a google and found statements as such. I had a quick look through 6 or 7 of the bugs and it seems that it always occurs when a comma is used for a decimal place. This bug doesn't make sense, as by definition expr is supposed to check both operands and if 1 is a float then change both to floats.
