Hi, someone at work just came by and told me about some issues gaim had.. Gaim got sued by AOL because of the name "gaim == gtk aim" and they were forced to change their names.. so name gaim doesn't exist anymore.. it becomes pidgin! take a look at http://gaim.sf.net (which redirects to http://www.pidgin.im).. the latest post in the website explains the issues.. it's interesting and we should all read itin order to know what happened to them.. there's also some "Instant Messaging Freedom Corporation" thing mentioned in there.. I wonder what that is... should we join ?:D have fun!
