Hi,
it's been reported a few times on the forums, it seems to happen after some 
kind of change to alsa, an update or something... And the 
fix is apparently to simply launch the audio/video assistant and reconfigure 
snack. Did you try that? That would be bad if there's no 
way of fixing it though!
