No, we should do the other way around, fix the warnings in 2.6 while
trying to keep 2.5 compatibility. I think that given the long
development time ahead supporting versions <2.5 is pointless...

I don't know if you have the knowledge/time/will to contribute fixes
for those warnings, otherwise we'll just fix them sometime...
