Hi Caio, welcome to the aMSN mailing list!
The mailing list is 'dying' because it's becoming less and less necessary,
pretty much everyone involved actively in the development are on IRC, if you
want, you can (highly recommended) join us on #amsn @ irc.freenode.net
The development of aMSN2 is being parallelized, some people work on the
core/protocol, others on the UI. It depends on what you want to do...
Having a GTK guy would be awesome, I'm not sure who takes care of the gtk
part of aMSN2, I think someone is in charge of it, you should talk with him
(billiob is handling aMSN2, so he has better knowledge than me on what
happens on that front, he'll tell you more)
Make sure you understand the design, there's a thread in the forums to
explain exactly how you can contribute to aMSN2, so make sure you read it::
http://www.amsn-project.net/forums/index.php/topic,5994.0.html
There are also 3 emails I wrote explaining the design, you should read them
too :
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.network.instant-messaging.amsn.devel/9497
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.network.instant-messaging.amsn.devel/9502
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.network.instant-messaging.amsn.devel/9796
But they are a bit outdated maybe, billiob would be the best person to ask
for advice as he's the one who maintained aMSN2 and if anything changed in
the design, he would be the one to know what it is.
Hope seeing you soon on #amsn, Have fun!
