You need to find out what your logfile was compressed with. Then 
find the proper program to uncompress it. Once you have found it 
put the following line in your configuration file.

UNCOMPRESS *.gz "c:/gzip/gzip -cd "

replace the *.gz with whatever extension your log file has on it. 
Then replace the second part with the full path to your program for 
uncompressing. Have the proper switch set for sending the output 
to the console.
