No you're not the only one. We create reports for all our client's sites and let them
read them
online. But we don't use the form interface.
Doing so would mean running analog at the time the client wants to view the stats,
which is
probably a peak hour. Instead we set up a batch to run analog on a nightly basis with a
configuration for each client. Then we just point the client to the location of the
HTML pages.
This is better security too, because analog and the logfile do not need to be in the
web space. The
only piece that ends up in a web accessible area is the report which we can set rights
on (e.g. put
in the client's admin access only area).
Of course, this means we run analog many times every night. Even if the client only
looks at the
logs once a month. But you can monitor your client's usage and only run it on a weekly
or monthly
basis (or let clients tell you how often to schedule their analyses).
