Hello,
I have been trying unsuccessfully to install analog 3.1 onto
my hosted web server account on a NT server. The account is with Digital
Chainsaw (http://www.digitalchainsaw.com ),
which has unbelievably poor technical support staff and information, I would
drop them as my server in an instant if I could, but that's another story.
When trying to run analog.exe I get a 500 server error. I do not have
access to any error.log files.
They store my access log in a directory above my live web page
directory. When I look at the location of the file with CuteFTP it says
its at /d:/mysite/access.log . My live pages are hosted under
/d:/mysite/htdocs/live.htm (they are below the htdocs directory) The
access.log file can't be viewed from the internet, and is only available by FTP.
I must install my exe files also in a superdirectory to be executable, in this
case, analog.exe is at /d:/mysite/cgi-shl/analog/analog.exe.
In my configuration file (located in the same directory as
analog.exe) I have tried having the access.log pointed to by both the
d:/mysite/access.log and /d:/mysite/access.log.
When I try to run anlgform.exe, it says analog did not
complete as it could not find a file or directory. When I try to run
analog.exe all I get is an server error 500.
I would very much like this program to work. I really
need to analyse the server access log, but can't download it as it has grown to
180 megabytes and I only have a 56K modem so running locally is
out.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Sincerely,
