Dear All:
Has anyone found a way to eliminate duplicate entries in the File Type
report. While it's not a major problem, it might be nice to have an
ALIAS to allow the combining of .gif and .GIF, .jpg, .JPG, .jpeg and
.JPEG, etc.
I've been interested to follow the discussions about summarising host
domain accesses. As I'm working with proxy logs, it would be nice to be
able to do some of this aliasing (even any aliasing) in the DIRECTORY
report. I'd quite like to be able to list all the *.microsoft.com
entries there in a single entry, and I'd really rather not have to run
about forty separate analog runs. I run analog over six months worth of
logs just to see whether the favourite sites are _work related_, or not.
Mostly they are, but when combined the BBC's various websites tend to be
way out in the lead!
Could be useful having a separate bit in the documentation/website for
processing Proxy logs.
