I tried compiling on IRIX. It didn't get very far. The output from
executing make in the directory of sources was as follows:
make
gcc -O2 -DUNIX -c alias.c
gcc: installation problem, cannot exec `as': Permission denied
*** Error code 1 (bu21)
Here's the uname -a output for the system:
uname -a
IRIX64 world 6.2 03131016 IP19
Any ideas what this is or what to try next would be appreciated.
