Nothings up. Analog is a command line program. MS Windows will open a
DOS window to run it, and the DOS window will go away as soon as it's
finished.
If you're just getting started, and trying to use Analog for the first
time, open the DOS prompt directly, and run Analog from the prompt.
You'll probably have to modify the ANALOG.CFG file to tweak various
settings, but you can also modify the behaviour with command line
arguments. (If you're not familiar with the DOS prompt, you may need to
learn how to change directories. If you installed Analog in the default
location, you should type
CD "C:\Analog 3.11"
to change to the Analog directory.
The 2 most important ones for getting started are the logfile name
(default logfile.log) and the output file name (default Report.html).
ANALOG +Omystats.htm mylogfile.log
will cause Analog to run and create a file called mystats.htm that
contains the logfile analysis.
Analog is _very_ fast, and will run so fast that you think it mustn't
have worked if you test it with a small log file. But just load the
output file in your browser to see the results.
Once you've got Analog configured the way you want it, you can probably
just run it by clicking on the icon, if that's what you want to do.

I have just downloaded analog 3.11 and when I try to run the program a dos
screen pops up for a split second and then disappears. Can anyone tell me
what's up? Thanks.
