No, it doesn't. My reading of the spec is that the date at the top is only the
date that the logfile was started, and you can't rely on the date staying the
same throughout the logfile. However, this doesn't seem to be current practice
(read, Microsoft practice, not that I expect them to have thought through the
implications of what they're doing) so I'm considering changing analog's
behaviour.
