I get the following error when I try and compile analog 3.11 on a Sun Sparc running SunOS 5.6 ----------------- . . . gcc -O2 -DUNIX -c utils.c gcc -O2 -DUNIX -c win32.c gcc -O2 alias.o analog.o cache.o dates.o hash.o init.o init2.o input.o macinput.o macstu ff.o output.o output2.o process.o settings.o sort.o tree.o utils.o win32.o -o analog Undefined first referenced symbol in file gethostbyaddr alias.o inet_addr alias.o ld: fatal: Symbol referencing errors. No output written to analog make: *** [analog] Error 1 # ----------------- The same version (in fact the same tar file) compiles quite happily on my Linux 2.0.36 PC. I see from the maillist archive that someone else had a similar problem a couple of weeks back and there was a suggestion that it may be a header file problem requiring a patch but no real pointers as to what to do. Any suggestions? TIA Doug -------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the analog-help mailing list.
