I've spent quite a bit of time testing different setups of drag-and-drop
config files. I get the "too long" message even if it's just a couple of
short parm lines (or even a command line string of 12 characters). Never
have I been able to get my log file read properly (that is, it always shows
up as %%% in the error report), despite putting its specification in the
drag-drop config file, the default file, or the mandatory file -- even
repetitively in combination.

The documentation doesn't help in working around the program flaws/bugs. It
would be great if this feature worked, but it seems pretty much unworkable.
