If your log file is only 15MB, I wouldn't worry too much about the cache
file configuration in the short term. Analog should be able to read
through a logfile of that size in less than a minute, without a huge
overhead, so, unless you expect to run a lot of slightly different
reports, you may not get too much benefit from caching the results.
(I'll confess that I haven't bothered learning how to use the cache
file, because, even though I'm generating about 4-5Meg a day on some of
my Intranet servers, anlgform.exe will churn out a monthly report in
about 20 seconds. That's about half a million requests, and 90Mg of log
files).

Hi,
I've been using analog for about a month now and the log file is a little
over 15 megs. I read the help file on how to use the cache etc but it was
a little hard to understand. I tried setting up the #define LOGFILE entry
in analhead.h to have it read access.log, access.log.1 etc but it doesnt
seem to work. I'm open to all suggestions.
Thanks for your time,
J. Olson
