Which version were you using before? Usernames were made case insensitive in
version 3.2 which could account for all these differences.

(By the way, the case sensitivity of usernames will be configurable in 4.01. 
But insensitive is always right unless they're sensitive on your system
_and_ you have two names which differ only in case.)
