Hi,
Firstly, I've just upgraded to analog 4.0 and the cache file facility is
*wonderful*, thanks!
I've created cache files for all our old logfiles, but forgot to add all
the ARGSEXCLUDE lines I wanted into the analog.cfg file.
I can see why I can't add new FILEEXCLUDE, HOSTEXCLUDE etc lines into
the analog.cfg file when processing the cache files: it'd give me
inconsistent output if it tried to use them.
However, I can't see what problem adding new ARGSEXCLUDE lines would
be? I don't want to change any of the cached data, just get rid of a
few extra lines in the output file that show me the subtotals for
particular arguments to a filename. I can make this change easily by
hand by deleting the subtotal lines. This isn't affecting the
consistency of any of the other data in the output, so why does analog
refuse to do it for me? Am I missing something?
Thanks very much
kirsty
