So the important question is, can you log in to the machine running the web
server? If so, there is no problem. You can download the program onto that
machine and run it from there.

If it's a Unix machine, you will have to compile the program, but that's
usually just a matter of typing "make": you don't need to know C.

The logfiles can be anywhere on the computer. As long as you know where they
are, you can just point analog to them.
