The report is just a HTML page. The images are inserted with ordinary 
<IMG> tags. If you look at the source of the HTML, you should be able to 
see the URL that you're asking your browser to use to load the images, 
and figure out what IMAGEDIR should be to make the IMG tags work 
properly.

(At a guess, you have <IMG SRC="C:\data\analog\imagesbarx.gif">)

Then why are you trying to set it to something else? It's only going to 
work on your machine anyway.
