The G2 server is a streaming media server - that means that it does
know how long a user has been connected - the connection is maintained
until the end of the stream or the user stops it.

I don't know whether G2 will log that information, but I'd be surprised
if it doesn't (I'm told that the Microsoft Streaming Media server does
log the length of the connection). It may log it as start time and end
time, rather than elapsed time, or, if it only logs bytes sent, I
imagine there must also be a field for which format was sent.

(It's been a long time since I ran any RealMedia servers, but it's
possible that the free version doesn't allow you to specify which
fields to log - that's the kind of added value service that they tend
to keep for the paid version, which isn't unreasonable).
