True, but the trouble is that some of us work in intense colaboration
with marketers, and have daily demands for the number of visits,
nomber of unique visitors, and path through the site to such an
extent that we frequently feel like giving up explaining why this kind
of info is pure fiction, and opt for "session"-models like the ones
offered by products like Webtrends...
We can all try to purists for a while, but at the end we very often
simply need to deliver such figures, may they be true or not, to sell
a site to investors...
This all just means that Internet has gone commercial for good, I
guess, and that marketing rules? :-/
