Brian,
I use cronolog, I never had any problems with it (using it on 20 physicall
machines). Compiles easily, here is the line for httpd.conf (sample) (for
Apache):
CustomLog "|/usr/local/sbin/cronolog
/var/log/httpd/www.myserver1.com/%Y/myserver1-access-%m-%d.log"
combined
m & d -- determines that the logs will be rotated daily...
Y actually creates the dirs... if needed...
