Thank you for confirming there was no short cut and forcing me to
suppress the "lazy gene"! Anyone else facing the same problem with
Demon's "Native" format might(?) find this a good starting point:

LOGFORMAT (%v %S %j%w%j [%d/%M/%Y:%h:%n:%j] "%j%w%r%wHTTP%j" %c %b "%B"
"%f" "%j")

This seems to work (ie it produces what appear to be comprehensive
reports). Does this necessarily imply I've correctly identified all the
elements, or could I still have elements misidentified, possibly as a
result of logfiles that do not yet identify all the possible
permutations of entry?

Regards
