Put them whereever you like. analog.cfg should preferably be in the same dir 
where analog.exe itself is. And analog.cfg then should contain some line like 

LOGFILE <logfile>

where <logfile> should be replaced by the exact location & name of the logfile. 
You may use wildcards and you may use several LOGFILE lines in the config file 
which will all be used then.
